The expansion of the Royal Terminal in Jeddah.
The concept addresses the client’s request to change the orientation of the aircraft to a ‘power in-out’ position, parallel to the terminal building.
The design proposes; the relocation of the existing drop-off ramps to allow the required plane movement, the expansion of the drop-off platform to accommodate the VIP ceremonial functions and the creation of a new building addition, which links the new jet way to the existing terminal via a glazed pavilion.
The scope of work includes the complete renovation & interior design of the existing Royal Terminal reception buildings of 5,200 m2 including the Royal reception hall, offices, salons & supporting facilities. The project also includes the Apron Study for parallel and nose in position Aircraft Stands, including required service road & Aircrafts services connections. The Aviation scopes were done in association with M/s. Parsons Brinkerhoff. |
